4 keys to overcome the COVID 19 crisis in organizations

Organizations are faced with the great challenge of transforming themselves, at the workplace and business level, to withstand the blow of the pandemic and face the so-called new normal with optimism. There are 4 four axes innate to people that companies must strengthen to successfully change businesses: collective collaboration, trust, resilience and compassion.

At the end of the day, companies are the sum of all their workers and these generate knowledge networks that enhance their competitiveness in the market. In this sense, the commitment to diversity -in its broadest sense- is a highly appreciated value in the business world as it provides a more extensive and complete vision of the business, more enriching, and it is proven that it also results in better results.
  2. Trust: building trust among professionals helps to intensify their sense of belonging. Safety and feeling part of the company's project help workers perform their functions in a coordinated way and actively participate in the organization's decision-making. The more confidence and security generated, the more the ability to innovate without making mistakes will be enhanced and the more a sense of pride will spread throughout the organization.
  3. Resilience: understood as the ability of organizations and individuals to recover from unforeseen and / or negative events, resilience is and will be essential for business continuity after COVID-19. Identifying risks in advance and being able to respond efficiently will help companies accelerate their transformation into the so-called new normal.
  4. Compassion: apart from the numerous uncertainties that the virus has created in business, the pandemic has also posed a great challenge when it comes to managing people's emotional terrain. The feeling of remoteness and disconnection that telecommuting can sometimes cause has become one of the most evaluated and studied topics by companies' Human Resources departments. The organization at all its levels, starting especially from the management, must make an additional effort in this context to generate loyalty and connection, to communicate and unite the employee with the purpose of the company. In this way, people will work together so that their daily activities generate long-term value and feel that they are part of a great project.
